DESCRIPTION
The center of each rail and the track centerline were extracted for this project. We wanted to extract the surface model as well, so we employed some automated algorithms to improve the mesh precision by adding ground points with correct elevation data. Another necessity was the powerlines and track wires, each of which had its own level and attributes, as well as the point cloud’s trajectory. Finally, we have a precise 3D drawing that was delivered in both .dwg and .dgn formats.
